Friday Nights at PSJC

Welcome Shabbat with PSJC.  Our Friday Night Kabbalat Shabbat services provide a warm and  intimate separation between  the end of the work week and the start of Shabbat. Services begin at 6:30 from Labor Day till Memorial Day and at 7:00 from Memorial Day through the summer.

The PSJC Friday night service is joyful and musical.  It’s led by by our cantor, Judy Ribnick (read about Cantor Ribnick here) one Friday night a month, and at other times by our Rabbinic Fellow, our Rabbinic Intern, or members of the congregation. Services are followed by a kiddush every week, where we can get to know one another and begin Shabbat as friends.  One or two Friday nights a month we stay and have a pareve/vegetarian pot luck Shabbat dinner together, sometimes with a speaker and other times with singing and shmoozing. Check the calendar for upcoming Shabbat dinners.

About our Lev Tahor Friday Night Service led by Rabbinic Fellow, Aaron Weininger: Connect your heart, mind, and soul as we create a sacred space for personal and communal prayer through the traditional words of the prayerbook and beautiful melodies, harmonies, and readings. Our service will be enriched by multiple pathways into prayer that help us find meaning, relevance, and calm in our lives and deeper connection with one another. All are welcome to take part in this joyous celebration of Shabbat.

Please email
Rabbinic Fellow, Aaron Weininger with any questions.
